To get the best results, search for:

name of the book in quotes; and
set a date period within about two years of book's publication.

Literature Resource Center Choose Reviews & News as the content type and search by title of the work. Check the box to limit to peer-reviewed publications to eliminate results from popular magazines.
JSTOR: Advanced Search Choose Review under item type and restrict date range to years following publication.
Project Muse Search for the book title in quotes followed by and review.
MLA Bibliography Find analysis here, not popular book reviews. Search by title in quotes. You may also limit by publication date.
Literature for Children "Literature for Children is comprised of volumes from the Departments of Special Collections at several of the State University System of Florida libraries. It is a growing collection of digitized titles published, predominantly in the United States and Great Britain, from the 17th through the 20th centuries."
